CEO, Wiztech Group
Yoni Sidi is a chief executive and marketing leader with a track record across the global iGaming and entertainment industry. After three years of military service as a combat instructor and 17 years in corporate iGaming, he built Winpot in Mexico with no outside funding, alongside a B2B tech business now serving 14 to 15 clients.
As CEO of Wiztech Group, he runs both businesses between Cyprus and Mexico, working at the intersection of technology, regulated gaming, and customer engagement — scaling brands, building teams, and expanding into new markets across LATAM, Europe, and beyond.

In their own words
“My aim and vision was to literally stop generating traffic. I’d be playing golf. No pressure, no stress. We make plans and God laughs.”
“The bad times will feel like you have five elephants on your shoulders. The good times will not feel as good as you expect them to be.”
“It can be a really lonely place at the top when you’re making your own decisions.”
“I wasted a lot of my own time and energy and deteriorated my own mental health by being too ashamed to ask for help or for advice.”
“I would always choose the people over the speed.”
“Everything will be okay. Nothing is life or death. Speak to people. Share your problems.”
Key takeaways
Plans for an easier life rarely survive success. Yoni set out to build a platform, generate traffic, and step back. Winpot took off in Mexico, the B2B side grew to 14 or 15 clients, and the workload went up, not down.
Bootstrapping means building brick by brick. With no outside funding, every decision on the operator and tech side carried his own risk — and his own pace.
Switching off is a leadership skill, not a reward. For Yoni it has been harder than any commercial decision. Running two businesses across Cyprus and Mexico makes it harder still.
Strategy is the easy part. The hard part is people. Given the choice, he picks the right people over moving faster.
Leading across cultures takes deliberate work. Israeli, Mexican, British, and Cypriot teams read directness, urgency, and hierarchy differently.
Ask for help sooner. The top can be lonely. Yoni’s message to his 2022 self: nothing is life or death, speak to people, and share your problems.
