The things that made you good at your job become the things that hold you back.
Leo Judkins, Founder, The iGaming LeaderAndrew Bulloss has interviewed thousands of people for the top jobs in our industry.
A few years ago, he asked a CEO a simple question. How do you manage to do everything you do?
“I only do the things that only I can do.”
Andrew went back to his office. Wrote down everything he does in a day. Ticked the things only he could do. Handed the rest to his team.
I've heard him tell that story so many times I've started calling it the Andrew Bulloss process with our members.
Here's why it sticks.
The things that made you good at your job become the things that hold you back. Your speed. Your eye for detail. Knowing the answer before anyone else in the room.
At C-level, those stop being strengths. They make you the bottleneck.
And letting go of them is harder than it sounds. Because you'll do it better. You'll do it faster. You know the other person might get it wrong.
So you keep doing it. And you wonder why you've got no time to think.
