Five years ago I resigned as a Director.
Not because the job was bad.
But because I'd become someone I didn't recognise.
Drinking every night to unwind. Checking overnight results in bed. Waking up at 3am with my head racing.
I had gained so much weight that people passed me in the street without realising it was me. People I had known for years.
“Leo, what have you done to yourself? You look awful.”
Someone I didn't know that well. Someone who was direct enough to say it.
He was right.
I got help. Lost the weight. And then resigned.
During that period, I started asking a question I hadn't been able to answer for years.
